Invite Outreach Cadence

Cruva gives you control over how your outreach automations send target collab invites. There are two sending modes: Batch sending (the default, recommended for most shops) and One-at-a-time sending (experimental). You can also set how many creators go in each invite (50 or 100) if TikTok has approved your shop for the higher limit. Everything is changed from the Automations page.

How invites are normally sent (Batch sending)

By default, invites are sent in batches of 50 — this is TikTok's standard limit for how many creators can be included in a single target collab invitation. Some larger stores have this limit raised to 100 creators per invite by TikTok. If that's you, you can tell Cruva to use the higher limit — see Creators per invite below.

Here's the flow for an invite + DM campaign:

Cruva sends a target collab invite containing a batch of up to 50 creators in one go.

Once the invite is out, we DM the creators from that batch one-by-one.

When every creator in the batch has been DM'd, we move on to the next invite and repeat.

If your campaign is invite-only (no DMs), the DM step is simply skipped and batches are sent back-to-back.

The tradeoff

Batch sending is seamless and fast, but there's one tradeoff: if some creators in a batch can't be invited — for example, a creator already has a pending collab with your shop, or their invite fails on TikTok's side — the batch may end up with fewer than 50 invites. Cruva doesn't go back and top up a batch after it's sent, so occasional partial batches are normal in this mode.

One-at-a-time sending (experimental)

If you want your invites to fill to the full 50 (or as close as possible), you can enable One-at-a-time sending instead.

In this mode, Cruva adds creators to an invite one at a time, and DMs each creator right after they're added (for invite + DM campaigns). If a creator can't be added — a conflict, a failure, anything — we simply move on to the next creator and keep going until the invite is full.

The goal is to fill every invite to the full 50 (or 100 if you've set the higher limit). If something breaks partway through, an invite can still come up short — but in practice invites should fill completely, or at least get very close.

If your outreach automations are getting an "invitation group save failed" error in the logs, we highly recommend using this option. In all of our tests, it overcomes the invitation group save failed error. It's a new bug from TikTok where the creators and products are completely valid, yet sending the invite fails with no explanation other than this mysterious error. One-at-a-time sending mode overcomes this issue.

What to keep in mind

Because each creator is added individually, this mode results in more intense requests to the TikTok APIs, which can lead to occasional throttling (TikTok temporarily slowing down responses). In our testing the mode has been stable, but it's marked experimental for this reason — we recommend it for shops that specifically want fuller invites and don't mind being an early adopter.

How to switch modes

Go to the Automations page in your dashboard.

Click the settings gear next to the page title.

Select Target Collab Cadence.

Choose your preferred mode on the left and click Save.

The setting applies shop-wide, takes effect on your next sending cycle, and you can switch back at any time.

Creators per invite (50 or 100)

TikTok caps a single target collab invite at 50 creators for the vast majority of shops. A small number of sellers — usually key sellers with high volume and a dedicated TikTok account manager — have that cap raised to 100 creators per invite. Cruva sends 50 per invite unless you tell it otherwise.

Requirements

Only change this if TikTok has already approved your shop for 100 creators per invite. You'll know because TikTok will have told you directly, and you'll be able to add more than 50 creators to a target collab manually in Seller Center.

This is not something Cruva can request or unlock for you. It's a limit on TikTok's side, and Cruva can only match whatever TikTok has granted your shop.

What happens if you set 100 without approval

Your target collab invites will fail. TikTok rejects any invite that exceeds your shop's actual cap, so every batch Cruva tries to send will error out and your outreach automations will stall. If you see invite failures right after switching to 100, switch back to 50 — that's almost always the cause.

How to change it

Go to the Automations page in your dashboard.

Click the settings gear next to the page title.

Select Target Collab Cadence.

On the right, under Creators per invite, choose 100 creators from the dropdown.

A notice appears explaining the requirement. Tick I confirm to acknowledge that TikTok has approved your shop for 100 creators per invite — Save stays disabled until you do.

Click Save.

The setting applies shop-wide and takes effect on your next sending cycle. The notice stays visible in the dialog as a reminder while 100 is active. To go back, pick 50 creators and save — no confirmation is needed to lower the limit.

Which mode should I use?

For most shops, stick with Batch sending. Switch to One-at-a-time sending if fuller invites matter more to you than the possibility of occasional throttling, or if you're seeing lots of logs like "Creator is linked with a shop account" this can alleviate that error since TikTok's invite system doesn't say which creator is problematic which can cause a batch of 50 to fail.
